Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit for UPSC Public Prosecutor Recruitment 2023

To be eligible for the Public Prosecutor Group A position, candidates must have either practiced as an advocate for 7 years with experience in handling criminal cases or have 7 years of experience working in the State Judicial Service or Legal Department of State or Central Government.

A candidate must possess an LLB degree. For the unreserved category, the maximum age limit is 35 years, but a relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit is given to Central Government/Union Territory Government employees.

There are a total of 23 seats available, with 13 seats reserved for the unreserved category and the remaining for different categories.

For NIA recruitment, candidates belonging to the general category, EWS, and OBC are required to pay a fee of Rs 25, whereas SC and ST candidates are exempt from any fee payment. The fee must be paid online during the application process.
